NVGEBE Kids

Welcome to our GEBE Kids section, with great tools, such as Energy Saving Tips, coloring pages, videos, links to online resources and more. There are a number of ways that you can become more energy savvy around your home and with many energy saving online games, quizzes and information. In this section, GEBE has developed, created or found lots of energy information, activities, videos and games that help you learn more about electricity and water and how you can use it more responsibly to save our island and our plant.

We hope you enjoy it and if you have any cool links, photos, events or ideas that you want to share, send us and email so we can add it to make this section even better.

NVGEBE Kids School Visit

GEBE supports the building of our future generations with its educational programs. Interested in how the electricity is made on our island? Then plan a school field trip to the GEBE Power Plant in Cay Bay.

Your class will receive a technician-guided tour of the power plant including the generator rooms, control rooms and workshops. The tour takes 30-40 minutes. Each tour is limited to 30 people. Cell phones, purses, backpacks, food and drink are not permitted in the power plant.

Please provide us with:

  • Your school name, its address and telephone number
  • The date and time of your field trip
  • The grade / age of your students
  • The number of students and chaperones (we suggest one for every ten students)
  • The contact person or teacher

Your school should contact GEBE at least two weeks before the planned field trip. To get the most out of your field trip, discuss the topics of electricity beforehand and have a list of questions you would like to ask our technicians. Visit our electricity section for more information.
