GEBE Storm Center

We live in a hurricane zone. In the last decade especially, hurricanes have become a common occurrence. St. Maarten has been hit by no less than six hurricanes in the last ten years alone. This means that we have to be better prepared each hurricane season.

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. That is six months of every year. So the best time to prepare is now.

Here are some useful tips of what you can do to prepare for a hurricane:

Start of the Hurricane Season
Pay attention to news broadcasts. Keep a watchful eye on developing storms and their projected paths. Don’t trust rumors.
