Suckergarden Wins Christmas Lighting Competition

January 6, 2010—Alexander York and his teenage son, Richmer, in Suckergarden won first prize of $1500 in the GEBE Christmas Lighting Competition just barely edging out the two-time winners in Cole Bay. Julia Peterson and her family in Cole Bay won second prize of $1000 and Melda Carty in Philipsburg took third place of $500.

Cole Bay Home Wins Again

January 20, 2009–The winners of the GEBE Christmas Lighting Competition were presented their prizes by GEBE managing director, William Brooks.

Saba Lighting Winners

January 17, 2009–GEBE announced the winners of the GEBE Christmas Lighting Competition in Saba during its annual Staff New Year’s Party on January 17, 2009. Saba received a record number of participants in the 2008 Christmas Lighting Competition who were wowing residents with their festive displays throughout the month of December.

Last Day to Vote

December 30, 2008–Today is the last day to vote in the GEBE Christmas Lighting Competition. A total of 13 homes are participating in the lighting competition on St. Maarten and 11 in Saba.
