GEBE in the Community

As one of the largest companies on St. Maarten, Saba and Statia, GEBE is committed to be proactive and involved in these communities. GEBE supports numerous programs that aim to help the youth, schools, sports and senior citizens. Many of our employees offer their free time to volunteer in many organizations as well. As a good corporate citizen, we have a social responsibility to invest in making our communities a better place to live and work.

GEBE Donates to University

February 12, 2009—GEBE managing director, ir. William Brooks, presented the GEBE donation check to University of St. Martin board member, Danny Ramchandani, on February 12, 2009, making GEBE one of the University’s Partners in the construction and upgrade of the university campus.

GEBE Supermarket Challenge

February 2, 2009–GEBE launched its GEBE Supermarket Challenge where shoppers can win Naf 100 during the month of February just by using reusable bags instead of plastic bags.

GEBE Pensioners’ Christmas Party

December 13, 2008–Retired employees of GEBE St. Maarten, Saba and Statia were treated to the annual GEBE Pensioners’ Christmas Party on Saturday, December 13. Although the event is held every year, this is the first time that pensioners from Saba and Statia were invited to join their counterparts on St. Maarten.

June 23, 2008–July is the Talk [RED] month for GEBE. The slogan is GEBE Talks [RED], The Power to Prevent.

GEBE Booth Well Received at Eco Expo

June 7, 2008–GEBE’s Managing Director William Brooks says that GEBE’s campaign Save Some Green at the Environmental Expo, was well received by visitors who took time out to visit the expo held at the Emilio Wilson Park.

June 7, 2008–GEBE participated in the Eco Expo 2008 demonstrating energy saving products with the theme of Save Some Green.

GEBE Mascot Name Competition

May 30, 2008–GEBE is looking for a name for its electricity and water mascots.

Summer Youth Program

May 14, 2008–NV GEBE donated to the Alpha and Omega Summer Camp.

Boys’ Brigade Program

May 5, 2008–GEBE recently made a donation to the St. Maarten/St. Martin Boys’ Brigade which will be hosting The Eastern/Southern Caribbean Boys’ Brigade Regional Fellowship Meeting and Camp.
