New Non-Residential Connection

The non-residential connection is for all properties that are not being used for residential purposes, such as companies, villa rentals, non-profit organizations such as schools, churches, and other organizations. For residential houses, use the New Residential Connection.

To apply for a new non-residential connection, please bring along the following information to enable us to serve you in a most efficient manner:

Existing Meter (Meter already installed)

  • Non-Residential Application Form
  • Pictured I.D. / Local I.D. Card.
  • Correct Address or meter number(s)
  • Registration at Chamber of Commerce.
  • Copy of Business License.
  • Notarial Deed (proof of ownership of property)
  • Deposit Electricity Connection
  • Deposit Water Connection

GEBE requires a deposit and signing of the contract before the service is connected.

Electricity Deposit for Residential Connection:

  • 1 Phase Meter: fls. 200.
  • 2 Phase Meter: fls. 400.
  • 3 Phase Meter: fls. 600.

GEBE requires a cash deposit and signing of the contract before the service is connected.The purpose of the deposit is to secure payment to GEBE for electricity consumed. GEBE reserves the right to amend the deposit amounts. GEBE will assess usage based on electrical appliances installed (or to be installed) and will charge a deposit based on the monthly estimated usage.

All deposits are refundable, less any balance due for electricity and water consumed, when the related account is closed.

New Meter (Meter needs to be installed)

In addition to the requirements for an Existing Meter, please also bring along:

  • the Inspection from the Public Works Department.
  • The kVA Fee

New non-residential properties are subject to the kVA fee. This is a one-time non-refundable charge for connecting the new non-residential property to the distribution network. This amount is based on the electrical demand (kVA) mentioned on the inspection form.

>13.3- 53.3 kVA fls. 2500 + fls. 1000 / 5 kVA

For connections more than 13.3 kVA to a maximum of 53.3 kVA, a base fee of fls. 2500 is charged plus fls.1000 for every additional 5kVA.
